The Team

 

As a member of the national Client & Market Growth (CMG) team, this role supports the implementation of the firm's client strategy and client priorities, to build and maintain strong trusted relationships with the firm's strategic clients. As part of a team of dedicated CRMs, you will take on client relationship management responsibility for a number of clients that sit within the firm's strategic client portfolio to support the firm's strategic plan. As an integral member of the Client Leadership Team, you will work alongside the relevant Client Relationship Partner/s and industry team to enhance the client experience, grow and nurture client relationships and maximise financial performance.

 

This role will be required to:

 

  • Build meaningful, lasting relationships with strategic portfolio clients, coaching partners and lawyers to do the same
  • Co-develop and execute client strategy with Client Relationship Partners (CRPs) and Client Leadership Teams (CLTs) to deliver profitable and sustainable revenue growth
  • Be an integral member of the CLT, directing and leading the team towards proactive relationship and revenue growth in alignment with the firm's strategy
  • Deeply understand our clients' world/s and their issues and opportunities (at both a business and individual level), sharing insights back into the firm
  • Leverage industry know-how to drive client centricity and present new ideas which address client issues
  • Prepare high quality client-facing material/ proposals either proactively or in response to RFPs, using client and industry insights, alongside the full breadth of the specialist CMG team
  • Collaborate across the firm to bring the best of MinterEllison to our clients, employing efficiencies and innovations, particularly AI
  • Champion best practice client relationship management and the use of client program resources, advocating a proactive, relationship-driven approach - best-of-breed CRM-ing.

 

About you

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications or Business or a related discipline
  • At least 7 years' experience in B2B BD / marketing roles, with a demonstrated track record of success in business development and key client management within a corporate or professional services environment
  • Ability to proactively develop and implement revenue enhancing business and marketing strategies to maximise impact
  • Ability to deliver effective day-to-day / operational business development support and build / support the infrastructure needed to meet client requirements
  • Work with minimal supervision and collaboratively to manage multiple priorities to agreed deadlines and within budget, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Develop mutually beneficial relationships with external and internal clients and stakeholders, built on trust, respect and rapport
  • Work with Partners to develop client strategies by building relationships with clients and industry/market leaders
  • Leadership mindset
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills to manage complex and diverse senior stakeholder expectations and interests, nationally
  • Commercially focused with strong analytical, planning, organisational and project management skills that benefit the firm, maximise revenue and profit and minimise the cost-of-service delivery
