Your Role
The Senior Payroll Analyst is an experienced member of the payroll team, who can operate with a high level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail whilst adhering to the compliance framework. This role is available on a full-time basis, with part-time arrangements considered for the right candidate.
They are tasked with performing a variety of payroll processing and associated activities, which include, but are not limited to:
- Processing of the monthly on cycle and weekly off cycles
- Investigation and rectify variances identified in the pay-to-pay and other Analysis reports
- Undertaken the submission of STP and PAYG remittances within the statutory timeframes
- Monitor data replication from SuccessFactors to SAP payroll and remediate failed workflows.
- Answer complex employee payroll enquiries, with a clear, concise, and timely responses.
- Validation of end of employment payments and the processing of complex termination payments
- Oversee and process all superannuation contributions including rejected contributions, Child Support deductions and third-party disbursements including Novated Leases.
- Administer the processing and reporting requirements of Government Paid Parental Leave
- Participating in the testing of SAP enhancements, such as work schedules and upgrades.
- Investigate and provide insight with supporting calculations with respect to any overpayments.
- Overseeing the administration of the purchased leave program in the payroll system.
- Review and undertake leave balance reconciliations as required
- Undertake peer to peer review of outputs
- Maintain collaborative working relationship with key stakeholders and teams
More About You
We welcome applicants who have:
- Minimum 5 years' payroll related experience
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, human resources, or preferably, Payroll Accreditation / Certificate IV or above.
- A proficient understanding and working knowledge of payroll-related legislation.
- Excellent numerical, analytical skills & meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in interpreting payroll results and discrepancy identification.
- Capable to perform manual pay calculations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Collaborative and productive approach to working in an agile team environment
- Highly self-motivated attitude, focused on providing a positive stakeholder experience.
- Effective time management skills with the capacity to multitask.
- Capability and adaptability to perform tasks in-office and in remote environments.
- Intermediate to Advance skill level in Microsoft Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
- Previous experience with SAP SuccessFactors and/or SAP payroll is highly desirable.
