About the job
MinterEllison is looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to join our People & Culture team, based in either our Sydney or Melbourne office. Reporting to the Head of Talent and Resourcing, you'll take ownership of end-to-end recruitment for a portfolio of practice groups and business services teams, acting as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders and a genuine partner to candidates throughout their journey to MinterEllison.
This is a hands-on, full-cycle recruitment role for someone who enjoys building relationships as much as filling roles - someone who can read a market, challenge a brief when it needs challenging, and deliver a hiring experience that reflects well on our firm.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for a portfolio of legal and business services roles, from briefing through to offer and onboarding
- Partner with Partners, People Leaders and hiring managers to understand workforce needs and translate them into effective hiring strategies
- Provide market insight, salary benchmarking, market mapping and talent advice to support informed hiring decisions
- Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for hard-to-fill and recurring roles, reducing reliance on agency support
- Deliver a candidate experience that reflects MinterEllison's brand and values at every touchpoint
- Use direct sourcing channels - LinkedIn Recruiter, our careers site, referrals and networking - to attract both active and passive talent
- Collaborate with the broader Talent and Resourcing team on projects, process improvements and D&I initiatives
- Maintain accurate recruitment data and reporting to track performance against agreed metrics
We Welcome Applications From People Who Have
- Demonstrated experience in a full-cycle talent acquisition or recruitment role, ideally within professional services, legal or another complex, matrixed environment
- A track record of direct sourcing, market mapping and building talent pipelines
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise and, where needed, push back on hiring managers and senior leaders
- Sound knowledge of current talent market trends and recruitment best practice
- Excellent communication skills and genuine care for candidate experience
- Comfortable working with recruitment systems and reporting on hiring metrics
- Prior experience recruiting for a law firm or other professional services firm is highly regarded but not essential
Why MinterEllison
At MinterEllison, we back genuine, everyday connection - a culture built on excellence, curiosity and collaboration, where people are known, valued and supported to do their best work, not just for our clients, but for each other. We offer:
- Flexible and hybrid working arrangements
- A genuine focus on professional development and career growth
- Access to wellbeing, health and lifestyle benefits
- A collaborative, values-driven team culture
- The opportunity to work on meaningful, high-impact hiring across a national firm
