The Team

 

Join our Talent Development team within the Talent Group, reporting to the Head of Learning & Development. We are reshaping our development strategy to support our refreshed business strategy to develop the legal and consulting firm of the AI-enabled future.

 

You will work closely with business operations colleagues, practice leaders and senior stakeholders, positioning talent development as a key driver of business success. This fixed-term role offers exposure to leadership and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across our national practice.

 

The Role

 

This is a 12-month strategic role to redesign the firm's approach to talent development across our national practice. You will identify the capabilities our lawyers and consultants need and design learning solutions that deliver measurable performance improvement.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Designing tailored learning curricula for different career stages from graduates through to senior associates and directors
  • Developing blended learning solutions incorporating face-to-face, virtual and self-paced components
  • Designing learning solutions that help lawyers and consultants work effectively with AI capabilities and understand AI's impact on their practice.
  • Facilitating engaging training sessions both in-person and online with strong executive presence
  • Managing end-to-end delivery of learning programmes from design through to evaluation
  • Establishing success metrics and analysing feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, positioning talent development as a key driver of business performance

 

This is a 12-month full-time strategic engagement based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

 

About You

 

This position is ideal for professionals with Big 4 consulting experience who want to apply their skills to create real business impact in a high-performing professional services firm.

 

You will bring:

  • Minimum 5 years' consulting or professional services experience in talent/learning, ideally from Big 4 consulting or management consulting backgrounds
  • University degree in relevant area (Psychology, Organisational Development, Business, HR, Law, Education)
  • Strong training design and delivery skills with executive presence and understanding of adult learning principles
  • Proven ability to advise and influence senior executives and partners in complex organisations
  • Sound project management and change management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with ability to establish credibility and facilitate collaboration
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to identify and drive process improvements
  • Technical proficiency in Learning Management Systems and Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with consulting-style project ownership
  • Passion for developing others with flexibility, empathy, resilience and adaptability in a dynamic professional services environment
