Your Role

 

We currently have an exciting 12mth fixed-term opportunity for an experienced Training Lead to support the development and delivery of a firm-wide Anti-Money Laundering & Counter Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) training program. The main purpose of this role is to ensure that all employees, including legal and business professionals, receive targeted, high-quality training aligned with Australian AML regulations and law firm practices.

 

The Training Leads will work closely with SMEs, Compliance, and Business Leaders to design, develop, and implement engaging learning solutions, including e-learning modules, role-specific case studies, and interactive workshops. This role is open to either the Sydney or Melbourne office with hybrid working arrangements available.

 

In this role you will have the opportunity to: 

 

•    Design detailed training strategy and implementation approach 
•    Conduct a detailed training needs analysis across business units to accurate role specific learning needs are identified.
•    Design and develop AML/CTF training curriculum and materials (content authoring) including e-learning modules, case studies, and assessments.
•    Manage the end-to-end training development process, from curriculum design to final sign-off by key stakeholders.
•    Collaborate with SMEs, Compliance, and Line of Business representatives to ensure role specific training content meets business needs.
•    Facilitate virtual training discussions, exercise-based workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
•    Report on training completion across the firm.
•    Vendor collaboration - ‘vendor collaboration – leading development of integrated learning content’.
•    Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the training and make necessary adjustments.

 

More About You

 

•    Strong knowledge of AML/CTF regulations and compliance best practices.
•    Previous experience as a Learning designer or Training Lead within a legal, financial or professional services environment.
•    Proven experience in developing interactive and role-specific training solutions.
•    Proficiency in using eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline to create engaging learning modules
•    Experience in creating learning videos and other multimedia resources to enhance training delivery  
•    Ability to develop job aids, learning resources, and work instructions  
•    Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with various stakeholders  
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills, including ability to facilitate training 
•    Understanding of processes and systems for client and matter intake and would be highly desirable
•    Project skills to ensure training milestones and deliverables are met within the Program timelines.
•    Australian legal qualifications - AML/CTF specialisation or related compliance training is not a requirement but is highly desirable.
